Update

Mom's gallbladder surgery was put on hold. The lung doctor is MUCH more concerned with this lung thing. Man, he put the fear in us all when he came into the room today - by first off, pulling up a chair and sitting down. Doctors never do that in the hospital - unless it's bad news.

And basically it is.

I can hardly type...

Mom has scleroderma and has had for years - a mild case, so says the doctor. But perhaps, eventually, it will get you. There is definitely 'something' in her right lower lung, but also something in the other lung. It's really hard to absorb everything he actually said. But he's doing a bronchoscopy tomorrow morning - 9:00am. He said that people with scleroderma have a higher chance of developing lung cancer (or other lung problems) - totally new news for us. Could be cancer, could be an infection - who knows until the scope is done. I'll keep you updated...

Thank you for your prayers. I'm in a fog.
